The line at the bar keeps growing. Why? Because the bartender spends too much time pouring each individual beer.
So why not provide a system that lets customers serve themselves?
That was the starting point for our group’s final project in the Design of Mechatronic Systems course.
The machine is placed at the side of the bar, allowing the bartender to still check IDs when necessary.
The customer grabs a glass, taps to pay via NFC, and the system starts pouring.
It automatically measures the volume served and only pours when a glass is detected beneath the tap.
The entire course – including all three projects – was documented in blog form on the website below (designed and built by yours truly):

P.S. The company name was meant to be a bit silly. Don’t take it too seriously.
