Industrial Design Project
As part of the 3-week Industrial Design course at DTU, we were tasked with designing portable light sources as individual projects.
Case:
Disc golf is a growing sport, often played after dark. However, visibility of the target baskets becomes a challenge. Players currently rely on bike lights, work lamps, and other makeshift solutions. These often provide poor illumination, are cumbersome to transport or recharge, and risk damage when mounted directly on the basket – especially from incoming discs.
With Photon, I developed a light source that is easy to transport (carried inside the disc), low-cost to produce, quick to mount and unmount, and protected against impact from flying discs.
The full design process is documented in the final portfolio: photon_procesportfolio
